This weekend Lewis raced at Shenington Kart Club. This was an important race for Lewis as he was joint 3rd in the winter championship and this was the last race for points. With only two heats and a final the pressure was on.

Heat 1 we had a starting position of 7th which we thought would be brilliant, however a spin on the first lap Lewis managed to get stuck on the grass bank! Thankfully a nice man helped him back on the track however he was over a lap down from the rest of the pack. He crossed the line very upset in 32nd place (out of 34) .

The second heat Lewis started 26th and managed to make his way 14 places up the pack to cross in 12th place. This set us a disappointing 24th position for the final. However he did not want to give up and gave it his all! He amazed us all and made up 20 places crossing the line in 4th place. Not only did he make the podium that day he also secured his 3rd place in the winter championship!

Well done to Mitchell Gibbons for 1st place and my team mate Josh Gambar for 2nd place in the winter championship Also big well done to all of  the Cutting Edge Racing Team this weekend
